President Barack Obama’s decision to send 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan and his outline of  the beginning of an exit strategy along with it didn’t get much support from Orange County’s congressional delegation.

Here’s what the local lawmakers had to say.

Rep. John Campbell, R-Irvine: “It seems to me he split the baby. He’s putting in more troops to make that side happy, but saying I’ll pull them all out in 18 months to make the other side happy. In the end, military decisions are not about politics, but decisive action in the midst of conflict, and I didn’t see that decisive action tonight.’’
